Since 1980 I have been building custom fire screens, andirons, and fire tools with emphasis on hand forged work. The below sampling of fire screens are all “fire gates," that is they hinge from the masonry or sub-frame. They do not require lifting or finding a place to put the screen as is the case with free standing screens. Frames are forged from either steel or antique wrought iron. All screens are attached to the gate frames with screws for easy removal in the event of damage. Interior designs are made from a variety of metals including bronze and copper. One feature I offer that is to the best of my knowledge not available elsewhere is handmade screening fabric. I am able to weave a wide variety of unusual fabrics, a few of which are shown here.
