Stream Language is installed at Stroud Water Research in southeastern Pennsylvania.  The piece is integral to the public entrance to the lab complex.  Bronze trout forms in relation to a tablet like structure of carved slate invite visitors to consider relationships between the natural world and our concepts and artifacts of knowledge.  The slate is carved with what I call “aquaglyphs”, using forms and structures from small and microscopic freshwater lifeforms to create a sort of biological text.
